Accelerate Agency ramps up “high ROI” cycle trade advertising support

London’s Crash Media Group, the parent to Accelerate Agency, is ramping up its focus on the cycling market, expanding its services to bicycle retailers, as well as some of the trade’s leading brands.

Accelerate currently works with brands such as Bianchi, Brooks and Raleigh among others; delivering what it says is a “targeted and high ROI approach to digital advertising” by combining strong relationships with major cycling publications, cutting-edge in-house ad tech, and a team of digital marketing specialists.

Following a successful few years the agency is keen to expand, and to become the digital media partner for more top brands, as well as helping retailers with their digital promotions across the UK and globally.

James Hamilton, Accelerates CCO told CI.N: “In the last 6 months for instance, we have delivered over 300 potential customers for a clients bricks and mortar dealer base in all areas of the UK. These leads are not timewasters, but people with serious buying intentions who are savvy social media and web users who wish to buy through a high-street dealer. They have been targeted according to their cycling interests and preferences and shown a well made and relevant product advert or piece of content and finally asked to fill in their details and buying intentions which takes around 5 minutes of their time. Our methodology delivers quality over quantity for the brand and retailers, wherever they may be.”

CMG run and operate press and marketing sites for some household names including Formula e, Ducati, and Land Rover and the specialist digital media agency believes for many it becomes “an additional member of the marketing team for a fraction of the cost of a new hire.”

What’s more, the firm’s services are now available to bicycle dealers, with website build services offered, alongside a package of marketing assistance and social media strategy.

James Knock, Accelerates CMO told CI.N: “For one brand we manage the entire UK dealer portal, as well as digital advertising strategy, which in this instance links in the brand’s retailer network rather well. With the level of detail we capture from customers, lead generation can quickly be passed on to the appropriate shop with exact detail of the bike desired, among a plethora of other data. Our speciality is in programmatic advertising, which makes ad spend more efficient and reactive.”

Clients typically approach Accelerate with a marketing budget, which is then planned accordingly to objectives. Ad strategy is carefully considered and created with formats able to evolve as potential customer re-visit selected sites. Ultimately the brand and dealer will eventually get information including a name, number, postcode, brand and model sought, bikes currently owned, a buying timeframe and the referral media source all in-line with GDPR, which comes into force in 2018.
