DVO Suspension hires new staff for research and development
High-performance suspension company DVO Suspension has announced the acquisition of two new members of staff to its global research and development (R&D) team. Adam Walters has been appointed to the newly created role of director of suspension technology, whilst Maurizio ‘Tex’ Maciulli has been given the role of suspension engineer.
Bryson Martin, DVO founder and CEO, said: “We’re excited to bring their high-calibre talents to our growing global team. By appointing Adam as the Director of Suspension Technology, we are taking our technical expertise and product performance to the next level. Having collaborated with Maurizio during the WP co-development project, we know he’s the perfect compliment to our U.S. and Taiwan-based development teams, thanks to his extensive experience in suspension design, data acquisition, and electronics.”
Bryson added: “Adding Adam and Tex to our R&D team has been incredible, I’m amazed at how quickly they’ve integrated and started innovating.”
Adam Walters has previously worked with some of motocross’ most accomplished athletes such as Chase Sexton, James Stewart, Ryan Dungy, Chad Reed, and Justin Barica. This gives him a variety of experiences when fine-tuning suspension.
Before his new role, Walters spent time working at Pierer groups factory racing program as its suspension manager, including a stint as head of suspension for Pro Circuit Kawasaki team. He also spent time working as the Showa factory Suzuki technician, where he first met his new colleague Maciulli.
A love for mountain biking and motorcycling primes Walters to take on his new role with great success.
Walters said: “I’m excited about the camaraderie and opportunity to take things to the next level, combining my career experiences with my passion for riding. Having the right people behind me, supporting and working with such a great team; that’s a big thing for me and I’m excited to be part of such a passionate and talented group.”
Prior to joining DVO, Maciulli has built up his experience working as an engineer with a data analyst background. He started his career working with rally cars before transitioning to HRC motocross. After this, he moved to Showa and worked as an engineer and suspension tuner for Ryan Villopoto, and Tyla Rattray.
Maciulli said: “I’m so pumped to work with such an amazing group of people; from the leadership team, the research and development team, plus the engineers in Taiwan, and bringing Adam in, all of us driven by the desire to design, test, build, and ride the best suspension, it’s incredible what we are already accomplishing together.”
The pairs acquisition fits seeming industry norms, as more and more company’s invest into their research and development teams.
