HKT adds UK made parts label Unite
In keeping with its recent move to reshore production of as much of its own product portfolio as possible, HKT Components has now moved to add goods from UK manufacturer Unite.
Having parted ways with Joystick, Unite will now fill the gap left with a plethora of components, many of which HKT’s founder Oliver Green says are a cut above on quality.
“Unite are set to be one of, if not the only UK brand to be ISO 9001 accredited. In short, when it comes to quality, they are not messing around. As far as innovation goes, HKT has been lucky enough to see what’s next for Unite and it is safe to say we are all pretty excited for it,” said Green.
At present, Unite offers a range of chain rings to suit all cranks, chainguides, bash guides, replacement Santa Cruz linkage bolts and plenty more. HKT is currently working to develop POS and display units for its customers.
“HKT and Unite’s partnership will be a much deeper relationship than your standard Supplier/Distributor relationship, both HKT and Unite will be helping carve out the product road map creating a diverse but unique product range,” adds Green. “Through our partnership with Unite we have already managed to put a few nice little changes in place, the first of which will be a spares and replacement parts list. This means that your customers can easily swap out any broken or bent parts such as designed fail safes like bash plates. These will all be at a sensible price, no more chucking good kit in the bin.”
