Reporting to the Estates & New Store Project Manager

The company is on a large expansion programme that has accelerated in the recent months and the opportunity has arisen to support the Estates and New Stores Project Manager. This role is a great opportunity to expand your skill set and learn more skills along the way as growth of this area of the business is essential in its growth strategy.

Responsibilities & Duties will include.

Supporting store opening timelines – assist in the monitoring and reporting of new and routing projects.
Support during fit out projects, from conception to completion, this includes:
Assisting with the management of contractors
Assisting with the management of internal team members for fit outs
Ensuring meetings are documented.
Overseeing the tender admin and liaising with the Estates and New Stores Project Manager when there are discrepancies.
Ensuring H&S documentation is in place for each store project.
Ensuring provisions are correctly ordered for each project, co-ordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure material are on site when needed.
Ensuring suppliers provide all approval/regulation documentation at the end of each project – report and escalate to management as needed.
On site merchandising support to ensure that the overall vision is realised
Manage any snagging on site during merchandising week and there-on-after
Overseeing and monitoring of budget for each project
Responding to email and telephone queries quickly and appropriately
Supporting in key projects such as POS and other retail related projects

Qualifications/skills

Project Management qualification i.e., PRINCE2 or relevant Project Management experience in retail
Knowledge of bicycle industry preferred.
Knowledge of H&S, including risk assessments.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and strong working relationships with colleagues and external suppliers and contractors.
Time management
Knowledge of CAD or willingness to train in the future
Understanding of Light construction works would be beneficial.
Ability to Multitask.
Friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
