Hours: Weekdays, normal office hours with occasional weekend work.

The job

The beating heart of Canyon is our industry leading product. A company with countless pioneering technologies and award winning designs. Every year we take our bikes on the road with a dedicated events team. This could be anything from our busy demo days to shooting video of new product for an upcoming launch. We require an experienced mechanic/technician to own and maintain our marketing fleet of bicycles to the highest possible standards. First impressions are everything so your standard of work will exceed expectations.

As part of this role, you will be required to attend some events. This means that through peak season weekend work should be expected.

The essential tasks

· Service and maintenance of the UK Demo fleet of marketing road and mountain bikes.

· Responsibility for marketing storage space.

· Maintaining and preparation of event equipment.

· Travelling with our UK events team and interacting with visitors.

· Setting a high standard of mechanical work.

· Ideally Cytech level 3 accredited.

· Experience of working in a busy workshop environment.

· Support of standard workshop business as required during off season

The person we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone outstanding and exceptional in everything they do with the following skills and experience:

Great knowledge of bikes. This could be from working in a bike shop, riding for a number of years, a misspent youth reading too many bike mags or previous industry experience. It is vital that you’re passionate about bikes and have a desire to share your passion for the sport and our product at events.

Computer literate and strong organisation and time management skills.

Industry qualifications are a plus but by no means essential. A thirst for knowledge and the aspiration to work to the highest standards is crucial.

Some social media skills are an asset. You are an active Facebook / Twitter / Blog user or have used them before in a business capacity.

A love of travel and exploring new locations is a must. A full UK drivers licence is preferred. Attention to detail is the fundamental basis of this position.
