Reporting to the Store Manager
NEW STORE - Wembley Park

This exciting opportunity in our new Wembley store will see the right candidate lead a fast paced, busy workshop and help deliver an industry leading customer experience. Our lead mechanic will have key-holder responsibility as well as over-sight of the store servicing operation. This is a junior leadership role and any applicant should have either supervisory experience or be ready to step in to a supervisory role.

Person Specification
As well as being an excellent tech, the lead mechanic will demonstrate great organisational qualities and an aptitude for leadership. Applicants should be comfortable managing their own work-load while assisting junior mechanics; organising work-flow; managing customer’s expectations and maintaining a well-stocked and safe work space. The successful applicant will have a great eye for detail and a strong sense of their environment, enabling them to juggle time pressure and workload to meet demand.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Managing workflow in the workshop and implementing systems to ensure quality of work and that customer expectations are met.
• Keyholder responsibility for the store, including junior management responsibility for the workforce.
• Servicing bikes to a high standard but within time constraints.
• Maintaining high operational / safety standards in the workshop.
• Assisting the store manager in maintaining standards in the rest of the operation.
• All other general retail duties.
Qualifications & Experience
• Excellent organisational & communication skills. Required
• A high level of competence in a bike workshop. Required
• Previous experience in managing work flow in a workshop environment. Required
• Previous experience as supervisor or in a similar leadership role. Preferred
• Great attention to detail Required
• A passion for bikes and greasy bits! Required
