Job Description:

Stif Mountain Bikes are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Workshop Mechanic to join us at our brand-new Bristol store.

Our long-standing specialist mountain bike shop focuses on some of the best bikes and kit that the industry has to offer. With our customers often being discerning enthusiasts, the level of attention to detail for any of our staff needs to be very high.

The mechanic will be primarily working with high end full-suspension mountain bikes. With this in mind, Cytech qualifications are advantageous, but most importantly, you’ll need experience of servicing, repairing and building full-suspension mountain bikes. Personal experience of fork and shock servicing, wheel building as well as bearing changes is essential. You’ll need to take an active part in the ordering of necessary parts for both repair jobs and general workshop stock. Keeping the workshop environment clean, tidy and well-organised is an important part of the role.

The right candidate will be sales and customer service driven and take pride in their work. You would be working directly with our customers to meet their service and build needs. As such, an approachable manner, excellent communication skills and good telephone manner are a must. Experience using an EPOS system would also be useful. Ideally of course, you’ll be a keen mountain biker yourself!

In return for your hard work, as one of our valued team members you can expect a competitive salary and a great benefits package.
