About the role
ITS CYCLING Limited (The Rider Firm – ‘TRF’) was founded in June 2013, with the goal of serving devoted riders through the design, engineering and sale of exceptional cycling products. The Rider Firm wholly owns four cycling product brands that were all created and grown in-house in Sussex, UK, with subsidiaries based in Boulder, CO, USA and Dresden, Germany; HUNT Wheels, Privateer Mountain Bikes, Cairn E- Bikes and Dissent 133 Equipment.
We are looking for a Merchandise & Supply Chain Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Commercial team. The team is responsible for managing stock and maximising sales at the Rider Firm & working with the product team to build a range which is forward thinking and commercial.
The role will involve the production of daily & weekly reporting to support trading decision making, updating delivery schedules to reflect the latest supplier delivery position, raising new purchase orders, booking shipments & assisting the Operations teams with any stock queries.
In a team and business, where no two weeks are the same, this role requires someone with the ability to adapt to change. Attention to detail, strong analytical and Excel skills, good communication, and excellent organisational ability will be key to success in this role.
Key responsibilities
- Updating daily, weekly and ad hoc trading & stock reports, helping to make recommendations to maximise sales.
- Maintaining pricing across our websites – uploading prices for new products and discounts.
- Supporting the department in maintaining accurate information in buying plans.
- Raising purchase orders and submitting them to suppliers in a timely manner.
- Accurate management of the stock delivery schedule, sharing key updates with the wider business.
- Point of contact for the Operations team’s queries, helping to resolve queries quickly and effectively.
- Assisting in the booking and management of shipments with third-party freight and logistics providers.
- Responsible for the administration and maintenance of the product file, uploading products to our websites and systems.
- Supporting the Commercial team with ad hoc analysis and tasks.
- Building positive interdepartmental relationships, including with Supply Chain, Product, Operations, Ecommerce and Marketing.

- A great communicator, able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- A pro-active self-starter.
- Organised and detail oriented with a can-do attitude.
- Can manage time effectively to meet deadlines by prioritising workload.
- Cooperative and adaptable to the needs of the business.
- Have strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Desirable
- An understanding of cycling and an interest in the sport helps but is not essential for this role.
- Experience in a retail and/or commercial environment.
