This is another huge opportunity in our rapidly expanding business! Working with the Sales team and liaising throughout the company you will take a varied and vital role in our company.  You’ll support the sales and marketing teams with your excellent product knowledge, organisational and data management skills, work directly with customers to resolve any issues and grasp the opportunity to deliver your own sales to meet revenue targets, bringing passion and excellent service to every customer interaction.

You’ll be a team player who can manage our sales inbox, man the phones/live chat and quickly make yourself indispensable to the sales team. We see this role being an even split between sales support and customer service so you’ll need to be resilient and highly organised with loads of initiative. This is a fast-moving role for a capable and adaptable self- starter who is customer -focused and a real team-player. if you’re  willing to turn your hand to anything there is great potential for growth and advancement as the company scales up production.

Atherton Bikes is based in Machynlleth mid Wales at the heart of a thriving MTB community and just a short pedal from Dyfi Bike Park. We’re small, agile and we’re ambitious so bring your A-game! We’re as passionate about riding our bikes as we are about selling them so expect free uplifts at Dyfi Bike Park and plenty of after work rides.

THE ROLE

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support in the implementation and execution of sales processes and systems to drive sales, including admin support and reporting
  • Be the first point of contact and offer knowledgeable interactions on social media, email, telephone and in person
  • Drive your own sales and allocate more complex sales interactions to our expert team, monitor and support these interactions with follow-ups and data -capture.
  • Provide excellent after-sales service, updating new customers on the progress of their build and ensuring that all is well once they have taken delivery.
  • Liaise with production on design on warranty issues and more
  • Maintain strong and efficient communications with the sales, marketing and manufacturing teams
  • Understand market segments, industry trends, strategy and competitive products and play a key role in keeping the entire team abreast of interesting developments
  • Work with the Head of Sales and the Marketing team to understand and utilize the brand and product values to help build an effective sales funnel.
  • Monitor and report on sales data and customer feedback
  • Assist with open house, factory tours and events at Dyfi or further afield.
  • Build and administer merchandise sales

THE CANDIDATE

ESSENTIAL

  • Enthusiastic and driven – a real self-starter with the drive to get things done
  • Super-organised, practical and can-do
  • A team-player who works well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-moving environment
  • Good working knowledge of bicycle components and maintenance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft office and other computer systems including collaboration platforms
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required this is no 9-5
  • Hands on mentality with great attention to detail
  • Highly developed communication, social and practical skills
  • Resourceful and flexible
  • Must be able to work on site in Machynlleth minimum 2 days a week

NICE TO HAVE

  • Bike industry experience/Good level of competence on a mountain-bike
  • Experience of an inventory management system to track inventory levels of parts, components, etc. and manage sales orders
  • Demonstrate experience of and aptitude for sales – most likely in in a direct sales role
  • At least 1 year sales / customer service experience
  • Experience of digital marketing and community engagement
  • Experience of Zoho CRM
