Description

If you’re passionate about cycling, have professional social media experience and like the idea of getting to play with the latest kit as well as attending cycling events, Saddleback's Social Media Executive role could be the ideal job for you.

About the role

Saddleback is the UK home of cycling’s leading performance brands including Castelli, ENVE, Troy Lee Designs, Intense and Sidi. We’re looking for a new Social Media Executive to establish and implement a Saddleback social media strategy, leading strategic planning and content delivery for all our social media channels and international territories, covering both B2C and B2B areas of the business, across road and mountain biking brands.

Working under our marketing manager and alongside in-house design, copywriting and videography/photography, you’ll deliver effective 360 social media campaigns – paid and organic – that fulfil company objectives. These include relevant brand storytelling, communicating our mission of inspiring cycling, highlighting the latest trends and promotions and engaging with brand ambassadors and influencers as well as growing revenue.

In addition to handling the day-to-day management of social channels, you’ll work with the marketing and communications teams to develop a consistent tone of voice and will also oversee monitoring and reporting of metrics and analytics, competitive trends, campaign initiatives and community optimisation through recommendations.

We’re looking for someone with plenty of experience who’s proactive, motivated, incredibly organised and has an exceptional command of written English. You’ll also feel at ease talking about social, content and campaigns to colleagues across the business.

This is a full-time role either 8:30-5:30 or 8:00-5:00 five days a week, finishing an hour earlier on Fridays. We’ll also need you to attend, cover and take part in events we’re involved in from time to time, so there will be some weekend work involved, for which you’ll receive time in lieu.

At Saddleback you’ll find a supportive team of like-minded cycling geeks – from CX to every MTB discipline, a peloton of roadies and even the odd triathlete – as well as a relaxed family environment, a stunning open-plan office space and a staff discount that’s sometimes a little too tempting! Once a month we also have a two-hour team-building ride-out covering gravel and road, plus a range of accessible fitness activities.
