Description

Wheel Builder / Bicycle Technician - Full time - Bristol

If you love all things cycling, have a desire to build exceptional wheels and know your way around a workshop, we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for a new Wheel Builder / Bicycle Technician to join our growing team of bike enthusiasts, in Yate, Bristol, to assist in the production of the world’s finest bike wheels.

This dynamic role will give you the chance to get your hands on ENVE’s beautiful handmade carbon rims as well as Chris King’s legendary hubs and components and combine them into cycling masterpieces that will blow our customers away. You will also work on key warranty and service tasks to ensure our customers receive a truly exceptional experience.

As well as spending the majority your time in our bespoke wheel building room, you’ll also support the bike workshop team when necessary with the assembly, set up and maintenance of high-end Intense and 3T bikes, ensuring each is built to the highest possible standard.

The ideal candidate for this role will have exceptional attention to detail, a love of cycling, be absolutely passionate about wheel and bike building and take the utmost pride in the quality and reliability of their work.

At Saddleback you’ll find a supportive team of likeminded cycling geeks, a relaxed family environment and a staff discount that’s sometimes a little too tempting!

You will need to have:
• Experience building high-end bikes in a commercial environment and be at a minimum Cytech level two accredited.
• Wheel building experience would be hugely beneficial, but experienced mechanics with a knowledge of wheel building and a passion to learn will be considered.
• An excellent eye for detail.
• A genuine love for all things cycling and the drive to never settle for second best.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work and keep calm under pressure.
• Good organisational skills.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:30pm.
Salary dependent on experience.
