Free MTBCOS workshop aims to assess commercial opportunities in cycling

The Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland is to a workshop at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, centering on the engineering, manufacturing and commercial opportunities in the bicycle business.

Taking place on Thursday, February 9th, the evening workshop is free to attend to those with an interest in the cycling business and aims to deliver a few hours of speed pitching, assisting entrepreneurs to quickly find partners.

Among topics for discussion during the evening the schedule sets aside time for common business problems such as obtaining funding, design issues, IP shortages, manufacturing issues and market intelligence.

Speakers lined up include Professor Chris O’Neil, Head of Gray’s School of Art at Robert Gordon University & Danny Cowe, Business Development Executive at Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland.

As reported yesterday on CyclingIndusry.News, AMC Velo is one firm rising to the challenge of manufacturing in Scotland and in particular has bold plans for a market share grab both domestically and abroad.
