Sean Igoe joins Road.cc publisher’s sales team

Sean Igoe will join the Farrelly Atkinson (F-At) team the road.cc parent has announced.

A long-time publishing sales director, Igoe is widely known around the industry for his former roles held with Future Publishing, Dennis Publishing and most recently TI Media where he helped launch the Cycling Weekly Awards.

Igoe joins a commercial team that is tasked with growing the revenues attached to the road.cc, off.road.cc and ebiketips websites. He will now work alongside Elaine Curtin, Simon Stansfield and Patrick Joscelyne.

Welcoming Sean’s appointment F-At sales director, Elaine Curtin says: “We’ve seen substantial growth across all platforms over the past twelve months with a growing focus on video – working with Sean means we can sharpen and expand our video offering to offer video packages working with brand requirements, enhancing digital campaigns.”

Commenting on the announcement Sean says, “I’m really pleased to be working with Farrelly Atkinson, I’ve known all the team for many years. They are at an exciting stage of growth with a particular attention in developing their video content strategy. A big majority of marketing campaigns now include content with video being high on the list of priorities for advertisers. F-At have a huge opportunity in video, with a monthly reach of 3,173,333 across road, mountain bike and ebike markets. I’m looking forward to working collaboratively with brands in the market to complement their current campaigns with really exciting and engaging video content.”

Igoe’s appointment is apparently the first in a series of new roles F-At is planning to create in the coming months in response to significant growth in traffic across all its titles a point reiterated by managing director, Tony Farrelly.

“Although 2020 has been a difficult year for everybody – F-At’s stable of websites have come through challenging times strongly and that’s reflected in this announcement. Our policy at F-At has always been to work with the best people – that’s totally been our approach when putting our commercial team together and Sean certainly continues that theme. We go back a long way and we all have immense respect for his sales ability particularly for what he’s done around video. All our sites have seen significant sustained growth in traffic over the last year and we’re now actively investing to further build on that growth with more recruitment already planned across all our sites with a specific focus on video, but we’re also looking to expand our editorial teams in a number of other areas too.”
