TU Bike partners with Velorution for UK launch

The new Tucano Urbano cycling collection (TU Bike) has officially launched in the UK for the first time, in partnership with high-end cycling specialist Velorution.

Velorution, TU Bike’s first retailer, has four London-based stores which stock urban, modern and classic design-led bikes, accessories and apparel, including a store exclusively for e-Bikes. The company also has its own magazine and clothing line.

Velorution offers Londoners an access point to TU Bike’s extensive collection, providing an online service for customers outside of the capital’s urban cycling scene.

Gretta Cole, Marketing Director at Velorution, said: “Velorution is delighted to be ranging Tucano Urbano in our stores. With so much energy around cycling, Velorution and Tucano Urbano’s new partnership is the culmination of two forward-thinking urban-focussed brands coming together. We are committed to offering our customers the best in premium urban cycling apparel, so Tucano Urbano is a great fit for Velorution.”

Established in the late 90’s in Milan, TU Bike produces urban-contemporary clothing and accessories. The brand’s range features award-winning, transformable outerwear and thermal child seat covers, as well as storm-proof rainwear, thermal hand grip covers, and a range of essential accessories for urban cyclists.

UK Country Manager for Tucano Urbano, Rachel Fuller, said: “We’re so excited that our new cycling brand will be available for the first time in association with Velorution. As a company that shares our ethos for functionality and award-winning design, Velorution are the perfect platform to launch TU Bike to the urban market.”

Velorution is currently crowd-funding to roll out its Electric format stores, of which two are planned for 2019, whilst growing the mixed urban and electric offering from the existing estate and e-commerce channel. Investors will be given the opportunity to buy shares through Seedrs, a crowdfunding platform which allows people to invest from as little as £20.
