Upgrade becomes exclusive SeaSucker distributor

SeaSucker has joined the Upgrade Bikes portfolio of brands available to the UK dealer network, with immediate effect.

The upcoming COREbike will be the first opportunity for dealers to see the new products with Upgrade.

SeaSucker, an innovative American outdoor company, has partnered with Upgrade Bikes to bring its innovative product line to the UK. SeaSucker offers temporary mounting solutions for its customers. For cyclists, fixed bike racks are no longer required, as the company uses insanely powerful vacuum mounts to do the heavy lifting. No more drilling into a roof, fabricating a hitch receiver under the boot, or bungee-cording an old rack to the boot of a hatchback. SeaSucker’s bike rack line allows for use when needed, and instant removal when finished. This proposes a tremendous value addition to the cycling community. The racks adhere to any surface of a vehicle, which means they can be used on any current or future vehicle any cyclist might own.

Manufactured exclusively in America, SeaSucker racks are the smallest and lightest racks in the world, reportedly. Not only can they store comfortably in car boots, cupboards, or under beds, they also fit comfortably into almost any luggage.

Since its inception in 2005, SeaSucker has partnered with major brands and organisations – most notably with the UCI, as the exclusive team rack provider for the UCI World Championships held each year. SeaSucker has been outfitting professional race teams for over a decade with their 9-bike team racks.

Now, SeaSucker looks to push further into the UK consumer market as it joins forces with Upgrade Bikes. The move combines two companies with ambitious growth trajectories. SeaSucker’s International Sales Manager Wes Wilcox said: “It’s a natural fit, both companies are meeting each other at a similar place in their growth phase. Upgrade is showing substantial growth in both product lines and sales, with no signs of slowing down. That hunger is exactly what we were looking for in a distributor that serves such a robust cycling market.”

The new SeaSucker rack range will be in stock soon and available to bike shops exclusively through Upgrade Bikes.
