Evans Cycles opens new Bristol store amid further expansion plans, with prizes for early customers

Evans Cycles has announced a new store opening in Bristol as part of the brand’s further push to expand, with hopes of becoming the country’s go-to destination for cycling.

The new site is 3,300 square feet, allowing a showroom of 150 bikes to be on display. This is an elevated relocation of the current store, which opened in the city centre in 2007. The new store opens this Friday 30th August.

The first 150 customers will receive a prize, from a bundle worth over £6,500 through the Ultimate Riders Raffle, in celebration of this new store opening.

Russell Merry, managing director of Wheels at Frasers Group, said: “We remain big believers in bricks-and-mortar retail for cycling. Bikes are a considered purchase, and customers value the guidance of a knowledgeable team member as well as being able to see and touch the bike in front of them, before making a choice.”

Sheffield’s Meadowhall Centre is next in line for a new store, as Evans Cycles is opening there in a month to further the expansion. This will be attached to the new Frasers flagship store, increasing the amount of Frasers Group’s brands in the centre.

Merry added: “The new Evans Cycles site in Bristol demonstrates our commitment to investing in and improving the locations we currently occupy and opening new stores.”

The new store will stock a wide range of top cycling brands including both bikes and e-bikes, clothing and other accessories, as well as click-and-collect orders. The store will also have an in-house workshop for servicing and repairs.
