New range of kids’ cycling helmets launched by Dashel

Dashel has launched a new range of children’s cycling helmets that are designed to ‘grow with your child” to be more economical and environmentally friendly. Addressing the point that children grow fast, with clothing worn by kids for a short while before it no longer fits and has to be thrown away, these helmets look to alleviate that problem for parents.

Dashel’s new helmet offers safety whilst being able to grow with children.

Dashel assures the helmet’s ability to grow and shrink with children as they grow does not result in a lack or reduction in safety, adding that these modifications in no way result in a reduction in safety procedures.

The helmet is fitted with a ring dial adjuster which means children as young as four, or who has a 52cm head, can wear the helmet. The mechanism can be used to increase the size of the helmet as well, whilst also being able to eventually be swapped out for padding. This allows the helmet to grow two full sizes.

Dashel accepts outgrown helmets for recycling as part of its sustainability initiative. The Kids’ Ocean range comes in five colours, including two branded Sea Shephard helmets.

Ghost nets, made from discarded fishing nets, are used to construct the loop on the back of the helmet. Sea Shephard sources these nets, and removes them from eco-systems preventing these fishing nets from doing wider ecological damage. Lights and other fixtures can be attached to ghost nets to improve the visibility of riders.

Dashel has committed to using 100% green energy and renewable energy when manufacturing, with an equal commitment to reusable and recyclable packaging on delivery.

Dashel’s route to market includes some bike dealer business as well as D2C.
