Galfer renews partnership with iXS DH Cup 2025

Brake component provider Galfer has renewed its partnership with Racement for the 2025 season, showing its dedication to the downhill cycling world. The agreement will see Galfer sponsor the iXS Downhill Cup and the iXS European Cup, increasing its visibility in the downhill world.

Galfer will reward the best riders from each series with an exclusive brake disc, a tradition that has stood since 2023 when Galfer and Racement came together to create the prestigious series.

In keeping the partnership going for the 2025 season, Galfer will hope to reaffirm its position in the MTB braking components sector, taking advantage of its visibility at the iXS Cup to showcase its products advanced technology, high performance, reliability, and safety.

High-level events such as the iXS Downhill Cup sponsorship is not the end of Galfers involvement in Downhill racing. The company is also actively engaged in technological developments in the sport.

Investment in research and development from the company goes towards creating products that both meet the demands of elite riders and push expectations in the performance sector. Galfer wants to supply riders with the tools to take on the most extreme challenges, regardless of conditions, through the evolution of its brake discs and pads.

Individual riders from the iXS Cup will receive recognition for their achievements at the championship events, with a finishing spot on the podium rewarding riders with brake discs from Galfer, giving athletes the tools to compete at the highest level.

Galfers Disc Shark has been developed to provide riders with enhanced braking power at lower temperatures, ensuring both stability and prolonging the pad life. For downhill racing, the Pro G1554T is a more suitable solution given its long-lasting braking without power loss, even in challenging circumstances.

The iXS Cup was originally founded in 2003, then named the iXS Swiss Downhill Cup and has since become one of the world’s most prestigious downhill competitions alongside the UCI World Cup.

The two major series in the iXS portfolio is the iXS Downhill Cup, targeted at amateur athletes, and the iXS European Cup is designed for semi-professional riders who want to take the step up to the world elite level. Both series will see 14 races take place, with events in Germany, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, France, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

Reaffirming the companies commitment to quality, Galfer has joined the FIM quality product programme for the 2025-2027 time period.
