Annie Emmerson to host inaugural triathlon industry conference
BBC Sport, supertri and world triathlon commentator Annie Emerson will host the inaugural triathlon industry conference in Loughborough, England, on December 9th confirms triathlon industry association and running industry alliance.
Triathlon industry association has collaborated with the running industry alliance to create the new triathlon industry conference to provide a day of insight for members. The event is to be held along with the running conference, taking place from the 8th to the 10th of December, being the largest annual in-person meet for running industry alliance members.
Panel discussions on the latest market research to spotlight the challenges and opportunities within triathlon along with in-person meets and networking will be available at the one-day event.
A series of panels will be hosted by three-time Olympic commentator for the BBC Annie Emmerson, who has also worked as a reporter for supertri. These panels will highlight the latest trends in triathlon and multisport.
Annie Emmerson said: “I am so excited to be a part of the inaugural Triathlon Industry Conference. The time is so right for the triathlon and multisport industry to get together to springboard a new phase of growth.
“My job is to connect conference panellists with the audience to bring to life a diverse amount of content, ideas and insights. I love to get into the nitty gritty of sport and it’s going to be a great day for all!”
Representatives from governing bodies, event organisers, brands, coaching firms, media, and travel specialists will be present at the event. An open session named ‘the stat of the triathlon industry’ will feature Ruth Daniels, CEO at British triathlon federation, Ian Hamilton, founder at the outlaw, Dean Jackson, founder of huub, and Gary Roethenbaugh, founder at multisport research.
The recent merger in July of the triathlon industry association with the running industry alliance, allowing triathlon to take advantage of runnings established systems and networks. The merger allows greater synergy and opportunities for triathlon, aiding its growth and development into the future.
