Cycling Electric announces Demo Days to be brought across the country

Cycling Electric has revealed plans to take its electric bike Demo Day across the country throughout 2025 after its successful launch in Lee Valley Velopark in London. The tour will kick off in Bath in September 2024.

Mark Sutton, Cycling Electric editor, said: “There’s nothing like trying an electric bike for the first time and with public knowledge of eBikes still evolving we’re committed to playing our part in making demo events accessible within reach of people’s doorsteps.”

“Our debut event in London confirmed the value of in-person demos and what was most reassuring was the broad demographic range that turned up to try e-bikes of all styles. Since the London event our readers have shared with us further insight into how they’re using and buying electric bikes, so we’ll be taking those learnings and building them into future events.”

Odd Down Track will host the first in a series of Demo Days in bath on September 29th, with Estarli, Tern Bicycles, Benno Bikes, Tenways, Riese & Müller and Eovolt all declaring their attendance, with more to follow. This will give riders a great opportunity to try-out a variety of bikes on its closed-circuit tarmac loop.

Adrian Hogan, director of sales at CyclingElectric said: “It was particularly encouraging too to be oversubscribed on a rainy day, so hats off to the broad range of riders who joined us. To take the next step and go national with the Demo Days series was the next logical step for the Cycling Electric brand and closely mirrors the progress of our sister title, the Cyclist Track Days, which has been a national demo series for many years already.”

A minimum of four Demo Days have been confirmed throughout the country, with a return to the sites origin in London’s Valley Velopark in April. The shows will debut in Leeds, in June, and at the Herne Hill Velodrome, as well as a repeat visit to Bath.

This event is not just aimed at existing cyclists, but is hoped to bring in a new generation of cyclists and encourage them to start cycling more. It is hoped by increasing the scope of the event, it can reach this target audience more effectively across the country, making cycling more accessible.

Tickets for the Bath event are currently available.
