Evans Cycles to bring Pinnacle to Center Parcs
Evans Cycles has secured a multi-year partnership to become the exclusive bike supplier for all five of Center Parcs’ UK holiday villages.
It is the first time both companies have joined forces for bicycle rental experience for Center Parcs’ guests with a bespoke fleet of Pinnacle bikes, Evans Cycles’ in-house brand.
The custom-made adult and children’s bikes have been designed with key enhancements to make them suitable for heavy use, weather exposure and frequent handovers – including durable powder-coated frames, sleek internal cable routing, wider gear range and always-on lighting.
Evans Cycles Managing Director, Russell Merry, said: “Pinnacle has earned a reputation as an accessible, rider-friendly, quality bike brand available across the Frasers Group estate. The models we’ve created for Center Parcs’ guests are no different – meticulously considered with the modern rider in mind and the specific needs of a holiday rental bike. Hard wearing, easy to maintain and, above all, comfortable and enjoyable to ride. The bikes are testament to the brand and we’re excited to start this new chapter with Center Parcs.”
Center Parcs welcomes over 2.3 million guests a year, with average annual occupancy rates of 97% and an available hire fleet of 10,000 bikes.
“Creating a positive guest experience is paramount to everything we do, including our cycle hire services.” said Lee Barrowcliff, Group Outdoor Leisure Manager. “Evans Cycles’ knowledge of what riders need and their ability to meet our specific large-scale needs made them an obvious choice as a partner. We’re thrilled to be working together to enhance the guest cycling experience.”
Alongside the guest’s bikes, Housekeeping colleagues will also be seen on custom-Pinnacle bikes, specially designed to facilitate their role around the holiday villages.
The roll out of bikes across Center Parcs coincides with the Pinnacle’s increased availability in Sports Direct stores nationwide, added the retailer in its press statement.
