The latest Cycling Industry jobs and opportunities

Are you, or somebody that you know, looking for a job in the cycling industry? Here’s a round up of the week’s top jobs in the trade.

As business continues to grow within the cycling industry on the back of UK Covid-19 lockdown, bike shops are reporting a skills shortage in the industry, prompting a surge in mechanic jobs created. YT are looking for a mechanic to work full-time from its new building and workshop in the Surrey Hills. The role will be to help run the new UK YT Workshop, making sure all outgoing bikes are received by customers and partners at the highest standard.

Additionally, Cycle Shack are also opening a Polegate store in April and are looking to build a team of enthusiastic and experienced Bike Mechanics, with both full time and part time opportunities. Training and apprenticeships are also available.

Furthermore, Havebike have advertised Senior Bicycle Technicians and Mechanic roles. The positions are non- customer facing and successful applicants will receive a £500 joining bonus. Successful applicants will need to have 3+ years’ experience working in a bicycle shop as well as Cytech 2/3 accreditation or equivalent.

Magura are looking for a full-time Service and Logistics Technician to work from its Leicestershire base. Main responsibilities include the day to service and warranty requirements of Magura and Bosch systems. Ensuring that the product is handled from start to finish and returned to the customer as quickly and efficiently as possible, it is paramount they are kept informed throughout the process. Furthermore, requirements of the role are ideally 2+ years’ experience, Cytech trained to level 3 and/or a strong knowledge of cycling mechanics. Training for Magura and Bosch systems will be provided.

A leading distributor of bicycles and bicycle accessories, Moorelarge is looking to hire an experienced and creative Marketing Manager to join its ever-growing team based in Derby. The successful applicant will receive a pension scheme, free parking space and a discount on all products. Closing date for this position is 31 March 2021.
