Whyte and Hawk Bike Sales renew partnership for distribution of bikes into Germany & Austria

Whyte and Hawk Bike Sales GmbH renews its partnership with the bike distributor to continue selling the British bike company’s products internationally, bringing the bikes to Germany and Austria in spring 2025.

Whyte looks to take its bikes international and this latest deal helps spread Whyte’s bikes across the world

Whytes latest highly acclaimed range is part in this partnership including the double ‘lightweight eMTB of the year’ ELyte collection as well as its trail and enduro mountain bike ranges.

Jens Kampe, managing director of Hawk Bike Sales GmbH, said: “Whyte Bikes has always stood for outstanding performance, innovative ideas and creative solutions. These characteristics have given the brand a distinctive and unique design that is appreciated by cycling enthusiasts across Europe.”

Ross Patterson,  Whyte’s international sales director, said: “Having worked with Jens and Christian at Hawk for some time now it’s great to take our relationship to the next level by formally extending our distribution agreement. We look forward to working closely with them to develop the brand through the best retailers and ultimately, see even more of our latest generation award-winning eMTBs, leisure and urban bikes on the streets and trails of Germany and Austria.”

Whyte has been actively partnering with international distributors, as this is the third deal of this nature in the past three months. Whyte previously partnered with DSB in Italy and Solis in New Zealand. In the UK, meanwhile, Whyte recently refocused its efforts away from bike experience centres.

ELytes design features a low centre of gravity concept, pioneered by the brand, which places the motor and battery mass as low as possible to increase stability and agility. This grants the bike a double handling win. The 250Wh PowerMore range extender is also stored as low as possible, along with the other components. The E-150 eMTB was the first one of the brand’s bikes to be fitted with the low design back in 2019, having a rotated motor design to allow the battery to sit extremely low in the frame. This approach has been built  on and improved since its first implementation, leading to the increasing media coverage of Whyte’s ELyte eMTB.
