ACT Partners with rental platform Renticy to help retailers diversify revenue streams
The Association of Cycle Traders (ACT) has partnered with rental platform Renticy, a platform aiming to boost retail through rental solutions.
The collaboration – including an exclusive free trial for ACT members – is pitched as an opportunity for retailers to expand their revenue streams by offering rental options to customers in-store and online. The topic of diversification of income has cropped up within the recent pages of CIN, exploring the wisdom of having multiple income streams when, for example, full bike sales slow.
With consumers increasingly keen to explore sustainable and flexible shopping experiences, Renticy helps retailers to rent out their stock with ease, the firm said, with a platform promising to simplify payments and inventory management while ensuring retailers are protected from damage or non-return through its comprehensive Renticy Protect guarantee.
Rental platform Renticy reckons there is potential to increase revenue by up to five times compared to a standard sale for retailers. Whether for new, used or refurbished product, retailers can integrate rental options into their existing business model.
James Bradley, Commercial Director at Renticy, comments on the partnership: “This collaboration aligns with our growth strategy, offering ACT members exclusive benefits that enable them to explore new revenue opportunities through rental services. We’re thrilled to work with an organisation as influential as ACT, and we believe this partnership will provide tremendous value to cycle retailers across the UK.”
Leon Mepham, ACT Membership & Services Manager, said: “We’re excited to announce our partnership with Renticy. We believe the partnership will help our members unlock new revenue streams in their businesses. In a world full of tech solutions, Renticy is one that can save time, create revenue, protect the users while providing a sustainable solution. I’m sure many of our members will find the ‘no risk trial’ worth giving a go.”
Renticy handles all aspects of the rental process—from fraud screening and contract setup to payment collection. Renticy Protect offers cover in case of any product damage or non-return.
As part of the partnership, ACT members will enjoy a 12-month free trial of Renticy to explore the benefits of rentals for their business. This exclusive offer provides access to Renticy’s platform, enabling cycle retailers to generate new revenue streams and better utilise their inventory without upfront costs.
