BMC launch factory XC racing team for 2023

With most factory XC racing teams now locked in and working toward the only 18 month away Paris 2024 Olympics, BMC have announced the return of a 2020 XCO World Champion, Jordan Sarrou, along with a number of new signings.

In making the announcement, the Grenchen, Switzerland based brand states, “2023 marks more than ten years of BMC presence at the pinnacle of MTB racing, having won World Championships, World Cups, European and National titles, as well as being ranked the top UCI MTB World Cup team for several consecutive years.

This season we are proud to take our success even further and announce our first MTB Pro factory team ownership. Always having been involved at the forefront of professional cycling and supporting young talents on their way to becoming stars of the sport, Team BMC ignites a new era.

While Steffi Häberlin secures our presence at the very peak of Women’s XCO, the whole team – including returning world champion Jordan Sarrou, Titouan Carod, Juri Zanotti and U23 hopeful Janis Baumann- is starting the new season on the back of spectacular victories.

2023 sees the team racing aboard the World Title winning platforms Fourstroke and Twostroke, in both the U23 and Elite fields. For projects away from the XC circuit, the team enjoys access to the full BMC range. Supported by a strong set of partners such as Öhlins, Pirelli, SRAM, ABUS and ASSOS of Switzerland, Team BMC not only aims for victories but also to push the boundaries of XCO World Cup racing in terms of professionalism and sportsmanship, on and off the track.
