Campagnolo launches record groupset for 13x Platform at lower price
Campagnolo has announced a new groupset for its 13x platform, the Record, featuring the same technology as the Super Record groupset at a lower price.
With a weight difference of only 300g compared with the Super Record groupset, the main distinction lies in the materials used in some components.
It offers the same fast shifting performance, the signature thumb-shift ergonomic gear changing, IPX69K ‘jet wash safe’ waterproofing and on-bike battery charging, all supported by an app that allows full customisation of the groupset.
Campagnolo launched the groupset in 2×13 road format (£2,300) and 1×13 gravel format (£1,800), with 2×13 all-road and 1×13 road versions set to follow in July.
Chicken Cyclekit will host its Campagnolo training sessions on 26–27 May and 3–4 June at its headquarters in Leighton Buzzard.
Campagnolo launched the 13 groupset platform last year, haileing it as a “complete rebirth” for the historic brand, with roots that stretch all the way back to 1973 when the Super Record was first launched. The new 13x platform means a more simplified approach for the future of Campag’s groupset range. It begins with a new Super Record 2×13 speed option but ultimately a more affordable range of Road and Gravel Groupsets will follow, we’re told.
