Campagnolo Super Record 13 groupset launches

The Campagnolo Super Record 13 groupset platform has been launched, hailed as a “complete rebirth” for the historic brand, with roots that stretch all the way back to 1973 when the Super Record was first launched.

The new 13x platform means a more simplified approach for the future of Campag’s groupset range. It begins with a new Super Record 2×13 speed option but ultimately a more affordable range of Road and Gravel Groupsets will follow, we’re told.

This groupset will be used in this year’s Tour De France by the Cofidis Look Team.

This new 13x groupset has so many advanced features and technology, including a new design for superior driving control and more intuitive management of functions in all hand-rest positions on the handlebars.

Weight and volume reduction have been achieved alongside those advancements and the Super Record 13 represents the top configuration of the new development platform for future Campagnolo solutions. It is not only the world’s first wireless 2×13 speed derailleur for road cycling, says Campag, but also the first groupset starting a general redefinition of the brand’s identity, a new strategy in line with Campagnolo’s legacy of innovation, which in the near future will witness the Vicenza-based company launch a complete line of products designed to cover the various market segments.

It is £3,800 SRP for the full groupset with a Power Option available.

In the run up to release, Campagnolo and Chicken Cyclekit have hosted a week of dedicated training for dealers to learn, experience and work on the new groupsets in an educational environment.

These have proved incredibly popular and there will be more training days very soon. Shops keen to take part should get in touch with Jason Smith ([email protected]) or Jordan Capasso ([email protected]) to book on.
