Campagnolo’s HPPM – High Precision Power Meter – unveiled

Legendary component brand Campagnolo has developed a new power meter dedicated to road bikes.

Campagnolo’s HPPM, which stands for “High Precision Power Measurement” is pitched as a tool that helps in the pursuit of providing the most precise data possible to support demanding performances.

The angular velocity and torque signals are measured every five milliseconds and combined with the 16 strain gauges produce multiple readings combined by a specific algorithm, guarantee extreme accuracy, says the Italian brand.

Equipped with an Ultra-Torque titanium axle and unidirectional carbon fibre cranks (available in 170, 172.5 and 175 millimeters), the crankset with HPPM Power Meter offers an immediate reaction ensuring all the athlete’s power is exerted into the transmission. Three chainring options are available: 45-29, 48-32, 50-34.

Campagnolo’s HPPM is only compatible with its Super Record WRL and comes equipped with the same charging ports for ease of use. This power meter lasts up to five weeks and has clear visibility of charge and data when you connect to the Campy App.

Campagnolo’s new My Campy 3.0 app allows system calibration in just a few steps and shows the battery charge status with a modern and intuitive interface. It’s pitched as ideal for any rider looking to take their cycling to the next level and gain knowledge about their ride that only the Power Meter can provide.

Retailing at £1989.99, UK retailers can order this new product (and any other Campagnolo product) from Chicken Cyclekit.
