Fox launch all-new gravel suspension fork

Fox have announced the launch of an all-new gravel suspension fork called the 32 Taper Cast (TC).

Developed in conjunction with emergent gravel bike designs, the 32 TC features a sleek drop crown profile and new knob shapes that drastically improve downtube clearance, for fitment on all frame sizes and styles.two hipster gravel riders sat on top tube of bike admiring the view

Coming in a 40mm and 50mm travel options, optimized for 700c – not 650b compatible – the maximum  700c x 50mm tyre size will certainly raise a few eyebrows. The explanation here is that, “The narrowest point on the lower legs of the 32 TC – the reinforced area where the bushings press in – happens to be exactly the same place as the widest point of a 650b tyre. This limits 650b tyre clearance to approx. 30mm, which defeats the purpose of going down to 650b in order to allow for increased tyre size and air volume.”

Weighing in at 1226g, the 32 TC has integrated fender mounts, and 160mm and 180mm flat mount compatibility, plus adjustable travel options. The lightweight, short-travel optimized air spring requires fewer, if any, volume spacers and the design employs our lower leg air/oil bypass channels.

Equipped with Fox’s proven FIT4 or GRIP damper options, the lightweight package retains all the tunability of its mountain bike siblings, marking the 32 TC out as next step for gravel riding evolution.

The launch follows a record year for Fox, seeing quarter by quarter sales soar. With the release of Fourth Quarter and Fiscal 2021 Financial Results, Fox saw Specialty Sports Group sales (largely made up of bicycle industry trade) increase by 57.8%, driven by strong demand, primarily in OEM channel.
