Giant open their first brand store in Scotland. The latest addition to the Giant Store family, situated in the medieval city of Stirling.

Giant’s global strategy is to make cycling accessible to all, and this store delivers in product choice, cycling knowledge and service quality.
Ian Beasant, Managing Director of Giant UK, said, “we’re delighted to be opening our first store in Scotland with partners who are so experienced and dedicated to great customer service.”

The store, formally Velocity 44, was established in 1977 and now is one of Scotland longest running cycle stores, and traditionally a go-to place for performance cyclists.

The new store will be no different, featuring a comprehensive collection of products from Giant and Liv.
Managing Director of Giant Store Stirling, Paul Allanach, commented, “we’re delighted to be partnered with Giant to bring the brand store experience to the city of Stirling; we will continue to offer great cycling experiences to the local community.”

The store offers something for all, whether performance road, electric bikes or lifestyle, with a complete offering of products to allow customers to find their dream bike.

Store Manager, Jane Barr, said, “as cyclists, we’re dedicated to supporting customers to find their ultimate riding companion; we have an amazing offering of women’s bikes and are confident that we have bikes to suit all cyclist’s needs.”

The store covers two floors, featuring a performance road room, a workshop for servicing and repairs, and a bike fitting studio.

Giant propose to roll out further brand stores in key target locations.

The move reflects the recent trend for brands to run and/or own their own retail space, with both Trek and Specialized making acquisitions in the UK over the past 18 months, mirroring developments in the US marketplace.
