GT Bicycles distribution to be handled by Pon Bike Performance
With Cycling Sports Group now rolled under the PON Bike umbrella a change has been made to the distribution arrangement of GT Bicycles in the UK.
After more than a decade sharing sales and support teams with Cannondale, GT will now move to a new separate commercial organisation led by Jason Schiers, Managing Director; this business will be Pon Bike Performance (PBP).
Within the UK, GT Bicycles will transition from CSG UK to Pon Bike Performance (PBP) UK where it will join Santa Cruz, Juliana, Reserve and Cervelo under the PBP banner, with renewed focus on its performance models and the IBD network. At the same time the CSG UK team will focus on the continued success of the Cannondale brand.
Overseas the change results in GT gaining a separate and dedicated team based in California, the birthplace of GT over fifty years ago and it is said that this team will take the brand back to its ‘dirt’ roots, by focusing on Mountain Bikes, BMX and Gravel, of which GT was an early adopter with its Award-Winning Grade models.
All GT dealers will have received a communication outlining the changes and how the transition will work and in the meantime, CSG will continue to support GT whilst working closely with PBP to complete the transition process.
