Magura adjusts product names for customer clarity

Magura has changed the product description of the CT to MT C for the 2023 model year as part of the rollout of a new naming strategy for the company’s disc brakes.

To make it even easier for future customers to match brake models with specific bicycle categories and usage scenarios, the coming model year will see Magura continuously changing the product descriptions of its disc brake models.

The Magura CT has been included in the new naming strategy and will be renamed MT C in time for the upcoming Eurobike 2022 trade show.

The abbreviation “MT” stands for “Magura Technology” and will be used for all Magura disc brakes in the future. The connected letter, in this case “C”, describes the main usage scenario on which the brake’s product development is focused.

The first brakes with the updated “MT C” product design will be delivered in late summer 2022.

Future product innovations will be consistently included in this new naming strategy, but the descriptions of the existing MT model series (MT5, MT7, MT8, etc.) will be retained.
