Michelin announces new Power tyre range
Michelin has updated and reinvented its Power tyre range for 2020, featuring both tubed and tubeless-ready setup.
The latest range features the all-new Power Road tyre in a choice of two versions for either tubed or tubeless ready setup, both versions using the latest-generation X-Race Compound rubber.
The Power Road’s siped shoulders and silica-based compound deliver lateral grip when cornering at speed, particularly in damp conditions. Meanwhile, the tyre’s performance rubber centre section keeps rolling resistance down for straight line speed.
The crown of the standard clincher Power tyre is reinforced Aramid Protek+ technology, which features high-density cross-laid strengthening to significantly reduce the risk of puncturing through forming aramid triangles.
The new tubeless Power Road provides greater rolling efficiency, robustness and longevity due to its optimised tread wear and 4×120 TPI casing.
New for 2020, the Power Time Trial tyre is the lightest of the range, owing its weight to the 3×180 TPI casing and new RACE-2 compound which combine to deliver efficiency in long-distance races or when looking to save valuable seconds.
Michelin’s Power range is now a complete family of tyres, covering pure road racing to cyclocross and gravel.
The full Michelin range of tyres and tubes is available exclusively from Silverfish UK, which is contactable via email or phone on 01752 843 882.
