Muc-Off launches next-gen in-store refill stations to cut plastic waste
Muc-Off has launched next generation in-store refill stations to enable customers to top up their bottles of Nanotech Bike Cleaner, also now with a built-in loyalty card system.
The company aims to boost footfall and reduce plastic waste through this latest initiative. Customers can now earn rewards when refilling their bottles—each refill adds a stamp to their card, allowing them to enjoy exclusive discounts, including a freebie on every fifth top-up.
The station features a rugged new stainless-steel design and plug-and-play simplicity. It ships with promotional tools and POS assets to help retailers maximise visibility and uptake, requiring only a power source and refill concentrate to get started.
Launched in June, the refill stations are now available to retailers, who can register via the Muc-Off B2B platform or contact their sales rep for details.
“This is more than just a refill station — it’s a community-building tool. We wanted to create something that rewards loyalty, reduces waste and gets people through the doors of their favourite bike shops. The new system does all three,” said Alex Trimnell, CEO of Muc-Off.
Additionally, Muc-Off stated that its refill initiative, part of Project Green—which aims to reduce plastic use—has already saved over 273 tonnes of plastic.
Aside from this, Muc-Off will exhibit at the debut Cycling Industry News Live, taking place this September at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. The inaugural CIN Live is running over two days – Sunday 14 September and Monday 15 September 2025 – promising a combination of education and training, new products and quality face-to-face time with the trade, open to all in the industry.
