Velofollies 2026: Ananda launching ‘simplifying’ M7000, mid-drive motor series
Ananda is officially launching the M7000 Series during Velofollies in Kortrijk, Belgium (16–18 January 2026), a new generation of mid-drive motors designed as a scalable platform rather than a single product.
The firm said that the M7000 Series platform addresses the growing demand from bicycle brands for flexibility, integration efficiency and consistent ride quality across multiple eBike segments.
Built on a shared technological architecture, the M7000 platform supports applications ranging from high-performance eMTB to urban commuting and city mobility, enabling brands to develop diverse product ranges while relying on a single, unified system foundation.
Unlike traditional standalone motors, the M7000 Series is conceived as a modular system platform. It combines universal bracket, high peak power, high torque, compact design, quiet operation and smart connectivity into one solution, while allowing clear differentiation between applications.
The platform currently includes:
⚫ M7600, tuned for aggressive eMTB riding and technical climbing (120Nm – 850W (36V) Peak Power)
⚫ M7200, optimised for urban and trekking use (100Nm – 650W (36V) Peak Power)
⚫ M7100, an accessible entry solution for city and high-volume projects (85Nm – 600W (36V) Peak Power)
All variants share the same core integration standards, electronics, sensor technology and system logic.
Weighing between 2.7 and 2.9 kg, M7000 motors deliver up to 120 Nm of torque and peak power levels up to 850W, depending on configuration. Low-cadence torque optimisation ensures immediate assistance from the first pedal stroke, supporting confident starts, steep climbs and controlled riding.
A high-precision sensor system processes rider input in real time, while a responsive clutch system ensures seamless engagement without delay. The compact architecture gives bike designers greater
freedom in frame geometry, supporting clean integration and balanced handling.
Ready-to-use
Beyond the motor, Ananda positions the M7000 Series as a complete e-drive ecosystem. Motors, batteries, controllers, displays, sensors and optional IoT connectivity are all designed to work together.
Display options range from integrated in-frame TFT solutions to stem-mounted and handlebar displays, all supporting Bluetooth connectivity and clean cockpit layouts. Optional IoT modules enable diagnostics, service management and future connected services.
For OEM partners, the platform approach means lower development effort, reduced complexity and shorter time-to-market, said Ananda. A single universal mounting standard and unified CAN communication system reduce tooling, inventory and variant management, while platform scalability enables reuse across multiple projects.
