Advanced Reco recyclable eBikes arrive with UK dealers this month

Pioneering German eBike manufacturer Advanced has confirmed, via UK and ROI distribution partners, Adam and Sophie Browne of Advanced Bikes UK, that the first UK bikes will be with retailers this month.

The unique aspect of the Reco eBike is that frames can be ground up at the end of their life cycle, melted down and then manufactured into a new frame or component…making new from old material in a completely sustainable process.

As a real statement of intent, Reco frames also come with a 30 year warranty.

Adam and Sophie visited the newly launched German production facility just after Easter and personally collected the first serial production Reco eBikes, which have already been on show at events and demo days around the country, including the recent Cycle Show at Alexandra Palace.

Of the state of the art German manufacturing facility Sophie and Adam say “The new production facility is breath-taking. We are very proud to be bringing the brand Advanced Bikes to the UK. Whilst it has been a long journey to launch, we have seen and learnt a lot working closely with our partners in many different parts of the country.”

“It really now feels time is right for Reco to enter the UK. Our partnership with the Bike Leasing company Bike Flex also helps making owning eBikes more affordable and flexible. We can see the figures in Europe. Leasing is a fantastic solution to getting more people in the UK onto quality eBikes.”

In keeping with the 30 year frame warranty, the Advanced brand is also doubling the Bosch eBike System warranty to 4 years – a strong retailer and customer incentive.

The Reco range is specc’d with the Bosch Smart System, offering CX Motors with 85 Nm torque, paired with a 500, 625, or 750 Wh battery.

As you’d expect of a ‘cycling as transport’ focused product there is the option for hub gear and belt drive, or a conventional derailleur and chain, configuration.

Frames come in a low step “wave” design, and a more conventional “diamond” design, both optimized around a comfortable, active, riding position, paired with a suspension fork for added ride comfort.

The Reco is available in 2 sizes: S-M, L-XL, and 3 colour options: 2 Gloss , 1 Matte.

Bikes will retail at between £4,649 and £4,849, spec depending, including that industry leading 30 year frame warranty, and 4 year Bosch system warranty.

Advanced Bikes partner retailers will receive their first stock in the next weeks. For new UK retail enquires Sophie Browne can be contact via mobile 07552482967 or via email [email protected]
