Advanced UK at Eurobike: Reco launched with 100% recyclable frame

Debuting at Eurobike, and launching into the UK market place, is the Reco from German bike manufacturer Advanced. The UK market will receive it’s first bikes this autumn via Advanced Bikes UK.

The Reco, a bike with a 100% recyclable frame, is the realisation of a goal; to design more sustainable e-bikes with the help of efficient, advanced, Germany based, manufacturing.

Advanced Reco on stand at EurobikeGermany based production saves 68% of C02 emissions.

For the brand, this is the next step in a sustained push toward the vision of a circular economy and aiming to be the first climate neutral e-bike brand by 2025.

Patented Reco frame technology

  • Advanced composite material made of plastic granulate with 40% recycled carbon fibres from the automotive industry.
  • 100% recyclable, the material also provides fantastic sound and shock-absorbing properties.
  • According to the cradle to cradle principle, new Reco frames can be created from old material at the end of their life cycle.

The Reco geometry is based on trekking bike frames with a focus on safe handling and a comfortable riding position. Fully integrated brake lines and shift cables, which are routed through the headset directly into the frame, reinforce the ultra-modern look of the plastic frames made from a single mould.

Depending on individual requirements, the Reco models are available in a sporty version with Shimano Deore 10-speed gears or for daily touring and commuting use with Shimano 5-speed hub gears and low-maintenance Gates toothed belts.

For UK retailers keen to explore the technical specs of the Reco bikes in more detail, trade enquiries can be made via sophie@advancedbikes.uk and/or +447552482967

Reco will be available in the UK from Autumn 2022, with Sophie and Adam Browne of Advanced Bikes UK taking orders now.
