All systems go for EBCO: New bikes, new brand, new website

After a pause in its operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, UK eBike business EBCO returned with a range of bikes at COREbike 2023.

The business, which received investment from TVS Motors Group in 2022, and has now relaunched with a new branding, new website and new range of bikes. Operationally, there are also 3 new appointments, joining the team, just as the brand has launched a revamped website, which features a click-and-collect option, delivered through UK retail partners.

Now 13 years into dedicated eBike manufacturing, EBCO has introduced a new range, said to be infused with British style and a unique flair, featuring LG internal batteries, and Bafang motors, optimized for weight distribution and improved handling, whilst still offering a traditional look, all paired with a slacker head angle – adaptable for any level of rider. Additionally, EBCO has refocused on size split and wheel sizes to accommodate more people with fewer compromises.

The company’s new website is said to reflect the importance the brand places on innovation, comfort, and convenience. It’s here that a click-and-collect option – through UK retail partners – is intended to make the process of purchasing bikes easier and more straightforward.

The overall design of the website – clean, clear, and user-friendly – enables customers to find detailed information about the 3 ranges of e-bikes: Urban (with well-thought-out function and classic styling), Adventure (go anywhere bikes with a mountain bike DNA) and Street (fun bikes with small sizes, perfect for short hops).

Joining the team recently are Chris Needs, taking on the role of overseeing EBCO UK, Josh Charteris who has become the new Head of Product Development and Procurement, and Paolo Pezzangora, now responsible for the marketing department. With extensive experience in their respective fields, the business sees these appointments adding an extra level of dynamism to the EBCO team.

“Here at EBCO, we are thrilled to announce our comeback to the market after the challenges posed by the global pandemic,” said Chris Needs, Head of EBCO UK. “Our new range of bikes represents remarkable improvements on our previous models, and our new appointments boost our team’s experience and skills. We are also excited for our customers to try our new click-and-collect option as we continue to focus on growing our retail partners, as well as strengthening our relationships with our historic dealer’s network.”

UK retailers want to learn more about becoming a partner of the EBCO click and collect network, should contact the business via info@ebco.co.uk.
