Basso unveils SV SuperNova x GA Special Edition

Basso has launched the SV SuperNova x GA Special Edition.

This limited-edition SV colourway celebrates the 10th anniversary of former Belgian professional cyclist Greg Van Avermaet’s gold medal victory in the men’s individual road race at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Basso SV takes its name from the Italian phrase Sempre Veloce, meaning “Always Fast”. It is Basso’s comfort-performance frameset, where aerodynamics, light weight and efficiency are combined with comfort and adaptability to help every rider become the fastest version of themselves.

Basso stated that the latest release pays tribute to Van Avermaet’s signature class, charisma and relentless drive.

Now serving as Basso’s Head of Riding Experience, Van Avermaet continues to channel his champion’s insight into the brand.

The new SV SuperNova x GA Special Edition is available to order through Chicken CycleKit.

Chicken CycleKit will exhibit at CIN LIVE 2026, taking place on 20 and 21 September at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.
