Forest expands London eBike network into Ealing
London eBike operator Forest has launched its service in Ealing, expanding its network to 20 boroughs across the city.
The company launched the service in Ealing on 30 July with 900 e-bikes. Until the end of August, pay-as-you-go riders can use the bikes for just £1 for every ride that starts in Ealing.
Following the expansion, Forest is the only e-bike operator in London offering services between Ealing and its three neighbouring boroughs of Brent, Hounslow and Hammersmith & Fulham.
The expanded network is further supported by Forest’s nearby 65,000-square-foot warehouse facility on Hythe Road in Hammersmith & Fulham, which borders Ealing and enhances operational efficiency across the area.
“We are delighted to be expanding into Ealing, which marks another important milestone in Forest’s growth. Operating across 20 boroughs, we’re now able to offer the largest continuous network in London, making journeys across the capital even more seamless,” said Alex Berwin, Head of Policy at Forest.
Later this year, Forest will expand its Friends of the Forest scheme to Ealing residents, offering 50% off pay-as-you-go rides to low-income users, key workers, NHS staff, people with disabilities, carers, students and those aged over 60, bringing the price down to £0.17 per minute.
Additionally, Forest will roll out a new initiative, Forest Force, to encourage safe and responsible riding by deploying a dedicated team to high-risk locations known for red-light jumping and pavement riding. Forest will also stop and penalise riders who break these rules. The company will work closely with Ealing Council and Ealing Cycling to identify the junctions that would benefit most from this initiative.

Earlier this year, Forest launched a £200,000 annual investment fund aimed at supporting projects that deliver lasting social, environmental and economic benefits across the capital. The fund invests in organisations and projects that help make London “greener, healthier and more inclusive”, with funding focused on three pillars: Environmental, Social and Economic.
