Bombtrack to launch Beyond+ Midtail cargo bike
Bombtrack has unveiled the Beyond+ Midtail, a new cargo bike designed for bikepacking, heavy hauling and long-range adventure. Built around a suspension-corrected chromoly frame, it features a robust, quadruple-butted downtube with reinforced wall thickness around the headtube for added strength on demanding terrain.
At the rear, a 60 cm long integrated rack offers generous carrying capacity, accommodating either two child seats or four pannier bags. The frame is also equipped with direct mounts for a toptube bag, plus bottle cage bosses beneath the toptube and downtube, giving riders ample storage options for extended trips.
A Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain paired with a wide-range 10–51T cassette provides the gearing needed for steep, loaded climbs, while Shimano Deore hydraulic brakes, four pistons up front and two at the rear, deliver stopping power. The bike rolls on tubeless-ready Seido Magnon i35 rims wrapped in Maxxis Rekon 29 x 2.6in tyres, ensuring grip and comfort when fully loaded.
Total weight for a size M complete model is 17.1 kg, with the frameset coming in at 4,700 g including thru-axle and hanger. Maximum rider-plus-luggage rating is 200 kg.
Available in three sizes, the main differences lie in horizontal toptube length and wheelbase, while all versions offer clearance for tyres up to 29 x 3.0in.
Production has been capped at just 100 units for the first run, scheduled for delivery in February 2026 and split between complete bikes and framesets. Bombtrack adds that a second batch may follow, but not before 2027.
