Canyon Bicycles appoints new CEO to lead next growth stage

Canyon Bicycles this week announced that, effective March 1st, Nicolas de Ros Wallace has been appointed as new CEO.

Winfried Rapp, who had been responsible for leading the executive management on an interim basis since October 2021, will continue to be part of the senior leadership team.

Nicolas de Ros Wallace has decades of experience in international management positions as well as in e-commerce and sales development at major sports and fashion brands. For more than ten years he has worked for Nike, Inc. – most recently in the role of Vice President and General Manager for the Jordan brand in the EMEA region. Previously, Mr. de Ros Wallace held the role of Global Director at Zara Women Footwear & Accessories. His responsibilities included managing end-to-end product lifecycle, delivering high growth across e-commerce and 1 ,200 stores in 78 countries globally.

At the same time, the company is focusing on new growth areas through the improvement of its service offering and further developments in the field of e-bikes, urban bikes and connectivity.
