Corratec e-Bike wins German Design & Innovation Award
Bike manufacturer and racing brand, Corratec, has won a German Design and Innovation Award for its Corratec Life S e-Bike.
The Design and Innovation Award is a seal of approval and benchmark for some of the best products in the bike industry.
Corratec’s Life S e-Bike impressed the judges with its uni-size frame, which was comfortable to even the tallest tester standing at 1.90m: “you can share the bike with the whole family.”
The judges were also taken by the e-Bike’s special geometry which allows a rider to put their feet comfortably on the ground without getting out of the saddle, a huge advantage when commuting in cities and riding in traffic.
The judges said: “The handling of the Life S is good-natured and stable at any speed, so the bike is perfect for older people and beginners too. With the Life S, Corratec has created a truly exceptional e-Bike for the city and light touring, offering much more than one would expect at first sight.”
The Life S weighs 24.75 kg and is priced at €2,499.
This year once again saw select international journalists, professional test riders, and industry experts invest more than 6,000 hours of their time to partake in the DI.A process.
In other company news, since the 2 January son of the founder and CEO of Corratec, Konrad Irlbacher, returned to the company to the role of Head of Purchasing.
