Cycle Exchange re-brand signals next stage in growth strategy

Pre-owned bike specialists, Cycle Exchange have launched an all new brand identity, signalling the first step in the next stage of the evolution of the business.

The new look is a key component of Cycle Exchange Founder and Director Matt Connelley’s vision for the company’s future:

“We wanted to treat this as the launching point for the next stages of our journey. Having recently taken on some investment finance we are looking to expand our ecommerce offering, as well as further retail space. We also have our sights firmly set on the European market.

With the ever-growing popularity of E-Bikes, as well as key green messages of reusing and recycling, we’re expanding our offering to include parts and accessories, as well as second hand kit.”

The vision for future development and expansion of the business comes at a time when more and more buyers are turning to pre-owned products as a first choice. By emphasising ease, quality of service and peace of mind, Cycle Exchange are able to provide direct benefits for those buying and selling second hand bikes and cycling equipment:

“Cyclists are an incredibly engaged market, and always looking for upgrades as well as the best deals on those upgrades. We’re seeing huge potential as people realise that the slight value lost by not buying or selling privately is greatly outweighed by what we offer as a company.”

Cycling boomed during the pandemic, and this is no less true for pre-owned products. Cycle Exchange have seen significant growth for a number of years, with the pandemic momentum maintained as the pre-owned market has stayed resilient through the stock shortages.

This has allowed them to double their members of staff as well as launch a brand new service with partner business FR Cycling Logistics enabling in person collect and drop off bikes with an expert at hand: “We’re seeing huge take up on our collection and drop off service. It takes the risk out of having to package up a bike and hand it over to couriers, whilst also greeting them with an expert when they receive the bike. Helping them set it up, adjust their saddle height and generally answer any questions. It’s a no brainer for the future of delivering bikes online.”

With no end real end in sight for the parts shortages, as well as a looming recession, Cycle Exchange are positioned very strongly to weather the storm as the value of buying pre-owned over new stock becomes increasingly appealing for customers. They’re hoping that this fresh face to the brand helps them expand even further in the near future.

Founded in 2013, Cycle Exchange specialise in buying and selling pre-owned bikes, frames, wheels and parts.
