Dakine appoints Gabe Schroder to MTB Marketing manager role

Dakine has brought in outdoor industry veteran Gabe Schroder to handle the company’s mountain bike marketing strategy.

Raised in Denver, CO, Schroder learned to ride a bike at age 5 and quickly evolved his skills on two wheels through the brick and plywood jumps he’d construct in his driveway. He bought his first mountain bike in 1990 and has been shredding singletracks ever since. After graduating from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, Schroder moved to Vail, CO before taking an internship at Powder Magazine. Since 2005, he’s resided in Ketchum, Idaho where he managed the ski and bike marketing programs at Smith for ten years.

“Gabe brings a tremendous wealth of experience and energy to our team, and we’re excited for him to join our efforts in growing Dakine’s presence in the MTB community,” said Shawn La Rowe, Vice President of Product & Marketing.

Schroder will report directly to La Rowe remotely from Ketchum. When not in the office, you’ll find him exploring the mountains year-round, while spending time with his wife Katherine and young children Huxley (4) and Brierley (1).

He can now be reached at [email protected].
