Dragons’ Den victor Rehook shifts focus to retail sales

Fresh from an appearance on Dragons’ Den, Rehook, a cycling tool designed to refit your chain, is now looking for retail partners.

Around 18,000 Rehooks have been sold to date primarily via Amazon, and after receiving offers from all five of the Dragons is now focusing on retailer sales through cycle shops.

Owner and inventor Wayne Taylor said: “Before the Den I was working on the business on evenings and the weekend. We have made so much progress since working on it full time, so can now look at offering Rehook to retailers.

“We already have some large chains of cycle stores starting to stock the product, and are getting a lot of orders from independent cycle shops ahead of the Christmas rush.”

According to Taylor, Rehook’s patented design makes the process of refitting a chain simpler and cleaner. The tool can reach into small gaps which fingers can’t reach, also keeping frame scratch and abrasion-free and the mechanism clear of debris. The tool also has an environmental element, using the same amount of plastic as just two pairs of disposable gloves. Rehook is lightweight and can attach to a bike frame when in transit.
