Ekoi debuts fabric that allows cyclists to tan in the saddle
Cycling apparel company Ekoi has brought to market a jersey utilising a fabric that allows for an even tan, yet with the benefit of UV-B protection.
Cyclists regularly in the mountains will be familiar with the telltale tan lines, something which Ekoi has moved to eliminate with the use of SunSelect textiles – known to allow through tanning UV-A rays, yet prevent those harmful UV-B rays landing. These fabrics are created and manufactured in the Netherlands.
Dubbed the Solair, the jerseys are now available in five size from small through double XL in shades of red, green or blue. Retail prices come in at £89.33 or €99.99. The jersey is sold only on ekoi.com.
