Eurobike confirms digital events for September

In addition to the rearranged Eurobike Special, taking place 24-26 November, Eurobike is also organising three digital events around the original show date to provide more participation opportunities.

Bike Biz Revolution

The first of these, the Bike Biz Revolution, will take place between 12-6 pm on 1 September and will gather crucial players from across the cycle industry together with selected experts in order to discuss the future of the bike business. This session will look at the changes from within and throughout the bicycle industry as a result of Covid-19.

The topics covered will include Mobility 2025, asking how the development of the bicycle gaining ‘system relevance’ due to a surge in cycling across Europe will change mobility overall in the next few years, and what this will look like. The topic on Green Tail Wind for Bicycles will discuss how it may be possible to combine the eco-friendly image of bikes with the social debate around environmental pollution, protection and sustainability. Finally, Bike Biz 2025 asks, who will be the winners and losers of the Covid-19 crisis? This topic will cover how retail may change in the coming years and predict which distribution channels and platforms will establish themselves in this time.

The speakers and programme for Bike Biz Revolution will be announced shortly.

Start-Up Innovation Day

Taking place a day later on 2 September, the Start-Up and Innovation Day 2020 will provide the ‘platform for future trends and necessary developments in the cycling industry’, according to the organiser. This year’s focus is on services relevant to the bicycle, hardware development and cooperation.

Pitches from the 20 Start-Up Award finalists will be performed on this day in a digital format, with the award ceremony taking place later on. The exhibition of all products will take place at the Special Edition show in November.

Throughout the day, there will be knowledge sharing sessions, panel discussions, and networking among participants. Those wishing to take part can dial in from home, with registration opening shortly, and the speaker programme coming soon.

Travel Talk: Cycle Tourism after Covid-19

The Travel Talk conference will take place on 3 September, bringing industry and tourism together on an international level. This year’s event will centre around themes of sustainability, ecological awareness and sharing economy.

The day will see presentations and panels of international experts examining the newest trends in and around destinations, with respect to innovative services, digital products, new approaches for attractions and new ways of working with partners from other regions and the bike industry.

All presentations will be translated German/English, and participation in the day or individual sessions will be free of charge, as long as you have a valid Eurobike ticket. Speakers for Travel Talk 2020 will be announced shortly.
