Eurobike’s Travel Talk calls for tourism sector participation

The 19th Travel Talk is returning to the Eurobike trade fair programme later this year, providing cycle tourism exchange and networking opportunities.

The event brings together representatives from the tourism sector, such as destinations, tour operators, service providers, and the bike economy, including industry figures, retail, associations, as well as representatives from the media.

Messe Friedrichshafen and Berlin-based agency Velokonzept are calling for active participation in the conference from representatives in the tourism and bike industry, who are encouraged to submit proposals and suggestions for three-minute pitches, discussion panels and workshops. The submissions can be made until 20th March through the Velokonzept event website.

For 2020, the conference focus is ‘Town and Country’, which will discuss the different tourist offers developed for urban, rural and alpine environments against the backdrop of mega-trends, sustainability and the sharing economy.

The best proposals will be incorporated into the conference programme, with submissions selected for the ‘Coffee Break Pitch’ also having the chance to present their ideas in more detail, if selected to go through to the second round.

The Travel Talk organisers called for active participation in the conference for the first time last year, requesting submissions relevant to topics including: trends & innovations, facts & figures, digitalisation, bicycle retail and cycle tourism, travel organisers, sustainable mobility and co-operation between the bike industry and tourism sector.

Eurobike 2020 is scheduled to take place 2-5 September 2020 in Friedrichshafen.
