Evans Cycles opens store in Southampton
Evans Cycles has opened a new store in Southampton, continuing its expansion plan in the UK.
The new 4,700 square feet store features a fully equipped service centre and a 150-bike showroom spanning road, mountain, gravel, kids’ and eBikes. Notable brands, including Specialized, Vitus, Cube, Brompton, Rapha and dhb, are available in the store.
“We’re thrilled to be opening our doors to a city with such a vibrant cycling community and a passion for life on two wheels,” said Robert Bentley, Managing Director at Evans Cycles.
“Opening in new locations allows us to support more cyclists while offering an unbeatable selection from the world’s best bike brands. We’re proud to welcome Southampton into the Evans Cycles family, Bentley added.
The new store offers various finance options, the government-backed Ride to Work scheme and a click-and-collect facility from the brand’s website.
The company has been expanding in the UK market. Last year, it opened a new store in Bristol, spanning 3,300 square feet and featuring a showroom of 150 bikes on display. Evans Cycles will also open a new store in York later this month.
The opening of the new stores can “underline Evans Cycles’ commitment to making expert cycling advice and quality product support more accessible across the UK”.
Last year, the company secured a multi-year partnership to become the exclusive bike supplier for all five of Center Parcs’ UK holiday villages. It is the first time both companies have joined forces to offer a bespoke bicycle rental experience for Center Parcs’ guests, featuring a fleet of Pinnacle bikes, Evans Cycles’ in-house brand.
